Design Authority, Project Management & Consultancy
Experience includes over thirty years experience (fourteen years with BT),
involving: AC distribution and standby generator systems; UPS& Inverter
systems; ac to dc conversion and battery systems; dc distribution systems;
earthing systems; monitoring and operations support management information
systems.
This included:
Setting corporate power engineering standards; and
corporate electrical safety standards with safety training.
Overall project management of power equipment and systems design and development,
from concept through to operations support.
Design and technical authorship for installation,
commissioning and operations support document- ation, presentations and reports.
Responsibility for engineering managers; day-to-day
technical support for development / manufacturing
contractors, field engineering and training personnel.

A lead role in development & implementation of remote access facilities
for BT power systems, including their integration with building energy management
systems.
Development & implementation of the single earth concept for System X
switches; and end-of-equipment-suite 48V dc power distribution and earthing
